About Patron Woodworking
I'm Ryan, owner of Patron Woodworking.

Growing up, I was always amazed to see my dad's ability to fix anything and everything. Cars, plumbing, electrical, rods and reels, any motor or machine or part of the house. And he was always helping others with his know-how. It impressed upon me the image of a capable, creative, and caring father and a love for working with my hands.

I've been an oil field mechanic, teacher, and writer. But becoming a husband and a father turned me to fine woodworking in part because I realized how important it is to leave behind something that will last.

There is a lot of satisfaction in producing something with your own hands. It's something I was taught, and something I want to pass on to my children.
I trained with a third-generation woodworker in Phoenix Arizona, to learn the trade. One of the first fine woodworking pieces I built was a crib for my son, and so the name brings "Patron" together what my father taught me, my start in fine woodworking, and what I hope to pass on to my children.

I live in the great state of Texas and provide beautiful custom heirloom furniture for my clients that will last for many years to come. I started Patron in 2023 and chose the name to seek the good help of St. Joseph, patron of woodworkers and fathers.
